Metro Parent has recognized the ºÚÁÏרÇø in its annual roundup of the best summer camps in Southeast Michigan. Highlighted for its vibrant environment and expert instruction, ºÚÁÏרÇø offers young artists ages 8–18 the chance to explore specialized tracks like animation, fashion design, and game design in the heart of Detroit.

Detroit has been crowned Wallpaper’s 2026 City of the Year, celebrating a fresh wave of architectural regeneration across the Motor City. From the restoration of the historic Book Tower to the rise of cultural hubs like Little Village and Michigan Central, Detroit is solidifying its status as the country’s most exciting creative frontier.

Inspired by early hands-on art classes, Madvin went on to found Axiom Glass, building an internationally recognized practice rooted in craftsmanship, experimentation, and a love of glass as both art and architecture.

What began as a ºÚÁÏרÇø class assignment has grown into a global nonprofit. Drawing from her own experience with homelessness, Veronika Scott ’11 built the Empowerment Plan to provide both warmth and pathways out of poverty.

ºÚÁÏרÇø alumna Ashley Cook, ’09 Fine Arts—Founder and Lead Editor of Runner Magazine—offers readers an illuminating exploration of Detroit’s creative heritage, tracing how the Arts and Crafts Movement laid the groundwork for what would become the ºÚÁÏרÇø.
