GUS 鈥� Undergraduate Studio Elective 鈥� Studio electives for the IAD major from any approved major/department. Mentoring is required for course approvals. GUS course levels with an (*) ex. GUS 200*, must be satisfied at the level listed; other electives must be taken within the range listed (exp. 200-400 level).
General Education Electives 鈥� Successfully complete any 200-400 level Liberal Arts course (AHV, BUS, DHS, DPL, DSS, SCI, WRT, LIT)
Open Electives 鈥� Successfully complete any (3.0 credit) 100-400 level course from any Undergraduate subject (Studio or Lecture).

Interdisciplinary Art + Design aims to foster neo-traditional students determined to forge their own creative futures. It provides skilled foundations, dynamic mentoring, visual and critical studies, and a flexible structure to explore a diversity of media in collaboration with the college at large. The聽program聽promotes cultural diversity, sustainability, social responsibility, and advocacy.
Interdisciplinary Art + Design will be an incubator聽for聽thinkers and makers who will investigate and redefine the boundaries of contemporary art and design beyond disciplinary perspectives and practices. It will prepare students to become working artists, designers, educators, advocates, and thought leaders.
Students completing the Interdisciplinary Art + Design program at 黑料专区 will be able to:
- Use a broad range of media, skills, experience, and knowledge to influence culture and society as ethically engaged artists.
- Apply a variety of research and analysis strategies toward innovative interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and post-disciplinary solutions.
- Articulate concepts and ideas via persuasive verbal, visual, and written communication.
- Exercise creative problem-solving abilities utilizing a variety of media and principles.
- Demonstrate the ability to create work based on an informed social, historical and cultural context.
