Ashlyn is interested in children’s media and entertainment, including literature, animation, and illustration.聽 Her focus is how we combine pictures and words to tell stories.
Professional Experience
Storyboards and directing for children’s animated television, for Nickelodeon, Netflix, Cartoon Network, WB, Disney, Storybots, and more. On the education side, she’s taught workshops for little ones across LA for the last decade and a half. She’s taught long-form (9-12wk) workshops for teens in animation and design for Film2Future. She’s now an聽 adjunct professor for Center for Creative Studies. She’s completed a certification in Early Childhood Education from UCLA, and has a Bachelor’s in Animation from Sheridan College. Shes also sits on the Associate Board for 826LA and is a collaborator for the Center for Scholars and Storytellers. She’s the author and illustrator of a dozen books for children, from board books to picture books to graphic novels.
