Join us for one of ºÚÁÏרÇø Transportation Design’s most beloved traditions — the Thomas Roney Cable Car Races.

This annual event marks the culmination of the first-year Transportation Design experience, where students design and build their own cable cars and compete in a series of spirited downhill races. Awards include Best Craftsmanship, Most Innovative Design, and Sportsmanship.

We invite ºÚÁÏרÇø alumni to come cheer on the next generation of designers, reconnect with the ºÚÁÏרÇø community, and enjoy a morning of creativity and competition.

Start the morning with coffee and doughnuts during weigh-in, then watch the races unfold before gathering for a barbecue lunch hosted by President Don Tuski.

Alumni are encouraged to bring their cool cars—the parking structure makes a perfect backdrop to show off your ride.

We’ll also have great ºÚÁÏרÇø swag available for alumni.
